The Research-Creation in Information Studies Learning and Exploration Circle is a series of informal gatherings that will take place over the Winter 2024 term at Dalhousie University to explore research-creation through an information lens. Join these sessions to learn how you can expand your research practice by integrating creative methodologies. Participants will work on a hands-on project.
The Learning Circle will bring researchers together for structured discussions, workshops, and guest speakers to gain new perspectives of research-creation in an information practice, expand and strengthen research methodologies, and talk through applications to current or future research.
The Learning Circle will be supported by a weekly Drop-In Makers Hour where individuals can bring a portable project they are working on for further informal discussion.
Participants are able to explore readings and theories related to research creation through readings, discussion and active creative work.
Participants will work together to create a collaborative creative project with time to work on the project during sessions and at the drop-in Makers Hour Wednesdays 12-1 pm in the Department of Information Science Board Room
